AKASAKA - MINATO CITY

1.Project Overview & Objectives

In a built-up area (brownfield) of the Akasaka District in the Minato City, our goal is to build an area platform that utilizes the latest technologies with real-time data in collaboration with private companies and related organizations. In order to implement a wide range of services that transcend regional and sectoral boundaries, we will work on visualizing information on area using 3D data, applying digital transformation to how area are managed, and running cars around the district to offer services that were previously only provided at a stationary location. Through these efforts, we will build a phase-free service platform that is rooted in and close to the community and can be effectively utilized both under normal conditions and in times of disaster, creating an enjoyable and safe community.

Visualizing the city through data linkage infrastructure

We will visualize disaster prevention-related information through the API linkage with the disaster countermeasure systems provided by the Kajima Group. In addition, the linkage infrastructure that aggregates open data from the city will contribute to the creation of a city where information is easily accessible for everyone.

DX for park management

Using weather-resistant NFC tags, we will test a DX service for managing equipment and facilities to see if it contributes to practicality, convenience, and operational improvements. In addition, we will plan and host demonstrative events using NFC tags to verify whether these tags contribute to the promotion of more park use.

Utilizing portable module batteries

We will develop a portable module battery powered cart that can be utilized as a power source for outdoor events and various services. The battery can also function as an emergency battery in the event of a disaster, contributing to the creation of a phase-free community.

2.Past Efforts

We confirmed local issues through interviews with local key persons and various demonstrative events, and verified the demonstrated effectiveness of the solutions for solving these local issues.

Participating in disaster drills

On November 6, 2022, we participated in a disaster drill event held at Aoyama Junior High School to promote our activities and conduct a questionnaire survey. The event was a great success, and we received many responses and were able to inform the participating community members of our activities.

Conducting a demonstration during a park event

From December 1 to 4, 2022, a demonstration of the portable module battery was conducted at a light-up event in Takahashi Korekiyo Memorial Park. Detailed data was collected through a multifaceted demonstration, including temperature and humidity measurements as well as linkage with signage and cameras that track the flow of people.

Networking with the local community

We visited individuals such as residents, workers, and business owners to conduct interviews. We were able to gather opinions on local issues and requests from a variety of perspectives.

3.Upcoming Schedule

We will refine each project to conduct demonstrations in parks and urban open space on a regular basis.
At the same time, we will continue to conduct surveys and interviews with local residents to understand their needs.
