Sumida Ward is promoting "City Planning with Universities," which is an initiative that will utilize knowledge from universities to solve local issues. In order to create a community where local residents can live in good health and peace of mind, the public, private, and academic sectors will work together to make the community smarter. Through the provision of highly convenient services that utilize digital technologies, we will create opportunities for local residents to remain in good health, and promote the development of local environments that are centered around the "Campus Common," a space in which the community and university can interact with each other. By expanding the results of these efforts to the rest of Sumida Ward, we will create a more affluent and secure community.
This project aims to create an active, convenient, and affluent lifestyle for individuals living in Takashimadaira (an area found within the Itabashi Ward) by combining digital technologies with the appeal of this area, and to strengthen its disaster preparedness. Using digital technologies to effectively create an active community and improve the convenience of its transportation services, we will communicate and share what makes this area so attractive and provide electric micro-mobility devices to make life in Takashimadaira more affluent and convenient. We will also use digital technologies to enhance soft measures, such as raising awareness about flood damage and improving the quality of training. Through these efforts, we will achieve a smart Takashimadaira where everyone can live even more safe and prosperous lives.
With an emphasis on Tama Center, Tama City is working to make the city smarter and to create a town that will continue to thrive for decades to come. We will collect a wide range of opinions from residents and formulate a vision for the city's future, focusing on concepts in which Tama Center continues to be used in a meaningful way for decades to come. Based on this vision, we will promote various initiatives to help create a town where people can enjoy more affluent lives.
In a built-up area (brownfield) of the Akasaka District in the Minato Ward, our goal is to build an area platform that utilizes the latest technologies with real-time data in collaboration with private companies and related organizations. In order to implement a wide range of services that transcend regional and sectoral boundaries, we will work on visualizing information on area using 3D data, applying digital transformation to how area are managed, and running cars around the district to offer services that were previously only provided at a stationary location. Through these efforts, we will build a phase-free service platform that is rooted in and close to the community and can be effectively utilized both under normal conditions and in times of disaster, creating an enjoyable and safe community.
